May 2012: ‘Accessing Scottish peace and environmental activists’ memories of their lives through oral history’ paper given at Remembrance: An Interdisciplinary Conference at Newcastle University.
May 2012: ‘Oral history as a research tool for learning more about Scottish peace and environmental activism’ paper given at the Historical Perspectives conference in Glasgow.
November 2011: Gave a short presentation and was a debate panellist representing Edinburgh CAAT alongside Dr. Anthony Gorman (Uni. of Edinburgh) and James Picardo (Jubilee Scotland) on ‘Human Rights and the Arab Spring’ as part of the ‘Our Changing World: Global Challenges’ lecture series at the University of Edinburgh.
February 2011: Facilitated a workshop at the ‘Transition Universities’ conference at Winchester University on non-violent direct action.
March 2009: Lectured to around 100 second-year history students at the University of Southampton on aviation expansion and Plane Stupid as an environmental direct action campaign group.
December 2007: Debate panellist at ‘Handle With Care: Avoiding “Abrupt and Irreversible Change”’ event on climate change organised by Green Action and Socialist Students at Southampton University.

May 2011: Taught a 45 minute lesson on the arms trade at Inverkeithing High School for S3 and S4 level students with Mark Bitel.
March 2011: Lectured to approximately 100 secondary school students from the Model United Nations group at George Watson’s College, Edinburgh on the subject of the arms trade with Mark Bitel.
